This is a summer inspired collage I built online. It is a part of a series titled 'The Many Shades of Summer'.
There are some fantastic sights and programs available to create "glue-less" collages.
I find that collages can be very personal, and quite subjective.
Collages can be a way of journaling ; they can be framed, used on greeting cards, post cards, or on top of large board or canvas.
There are various ways to express yourself in this medium, through multiple textures such as different papers, photographs, wrapping papers, scrap booking papers, magazine clippings or even organic materials like pressed flowers and greenery.
If you are feeling very adventurous you could try adding found objects that you find interesting or that hold a sentimental value for you.
Add dimension by drawing on top of the imagery, echoing the images or perhaps adding some script.
Tip of the day: If you want to protect your collage from age, UV rays and pealing I suggest you seal it. My favorite way to do that is by using Acrylic Medium in Glossy or Matte finish.
Happy collaging!
Create a fantastic day,
Jessica
